Admonition
Greetings to
you from the Throne of Grace, brethren.
Yesterday,
God opened our eyes to the thing from which we should seek freedom; it is sin
because without sin, everything holding man down and dominating man has no such
authority. The authority of sickness, poverty, hatred, witches, wizards, powers
and principalities over man derive from man’s sins.
Today, God
wants to tell us briefly how really to seek our freedom from sin. In our anchor
Scripture, Jesus Christ says that the only thing that could set us free is the
TRUTH, and we need to know the truth before it could set us free.
The question that comes to mind is: what is the TRUTH that will set us free? We
find the answer to that question in John 17: 17 which says, “Sanctify
them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” And in John 8: 31 - 32,
Jesus says, “if ye continue in my word . . . ye shall know the truth, and the truth
shall make you free.”
Hurrah! We
have found the TRUTH! His Word is the truth that has the capacity
to set us free. With His Word, we could be free from sin and every
agent of darkness. All we need do is: find
the right Word, know it, speak it and believe it. Boom! You’re FREE!
I think the challenge we have is knowing the truth. Many of us have been fed with so much lies
and heresies, sometimes, in the name of doctrines that it has become so
difficult to search for and believe the truth even when anyone tries to show or
tell us. It is a bad pity that many Christians today “serve God” with what the
Bible calls “the wisdom of men.” (1
Cor. 2: 5) Aside from sins, that is another reason God seemed powerless in many of
our situations today.
As we close
for today, everyone who wants to FINISH STRONGLY with God must necessarily and
urgently take the Word of God seriously. Any Christian doing the contrary, relying
only on what their church leaders and founders say alone, is doing so at their
own perils. God Himself, values His Word more than all His Names (Psalm 138:
2b).
Till tomorrow when we shall meet
again on this beautiful journey of FINISHING STRONG together, keep keeping on
in Him!
Yours in Him,
