no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the
flesh, but after the Spirit.”

Admonition
Greetings from the Throne of Grace!
Our God is
good and gracious towards us in that He has hidden nothing about Himself from
us. Everything we need to know about Him; Who He is, what He did in the past,
what He plans to do in the future, how He thinks, His dispositions to various
issues and so on, He has revealed to us in His Word, the Holy Bible, and we
know His Word is TRUE.
The Holy
Spirit mentioned on Wednesday that many Christians live on the assumption that
they are born-again (because either they were born into Christian families or
because they attend churches). That exactly is what spiritual impersonation is
all about. That is, calling yourself a child of God (a born-again Christian, a
believer) when you know you are not, for the Bible says, “But as many as received him, to them gave
he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” (John 1: 12). I have said it severally to people that going to
church, as a lone spiritual action, does not yet make you a child of God
because it is just a religious duty. I am trusting God that my Teacher, the
Holy Spirit, will soon teach us the difference between Godliness and
religiousness.
Spiritual
impersonation is a sin before God because it implies “. .
. men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness”. What this simply means is that
someone is calling themselves a child of God, yet, such is found doing things
that are forbidden and are abominations to the kingdom of God. That is why our
focus Scripture this morning mentioned that God’s condemnation in the form of
wrath is revealed to such people.
Spiritual
impersonation carries very grave consequences. For example, it could lead to
serious spiritual attacks as we see in the life of seven men who, like most of
us as the Holy Spirit mentioned on Wednesday, based their Christianity on the
fact that their father, Sceva, was Jew and a priest (Acts 19: 13 – 16). The
evil spirit beat nonsense out of them!
Some of the
other consequences or symptoms of spiritual impersonation are: vain
imaginations, sexual perversions, uncleanliness and other unrighteousness as
depicted in Romans 1: 29 – 31. That you may know that people who engaged in
spiritual impersonation are doomed for condemnation, the Bible capped by saying
“.
. . they which commit such things
are worthy of death. . . .” (Rom. 1: 32).
As we close
this morning, the Holy Spirit’s admonition is that of serious and sincere
spiritual examination of selves as He says in 2 Corinthians 13: 5 that “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the
faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus
Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?” Galatians 6: 7 has made it very clear that
we can’t deceive God. You may be deceiving yourself and other people around
you, however. But know that no one who practices spiritual impersonation will
see their names in the book of life in heaven. By implication, none given to
spiritual impersonation will ever FINISH STRONG; may you FINISH STRONG in Him in
Jesus Name, amen.
"Know that no one who practices spiritual impersonation will see their names in the book of life in heaven."
Till Monday when
we shall meet again on this beautiful journey of FINISHING STRONG together,
please, keep keeping on in Him.
N. B. Please pray that the Holy Spirit of
God will purge you of your spiritual impersonation, both of the past and
present, and that He will make your salvation very sure in Christ Jesus.
God
bless you! Amen. Do enjoy your weekend.
