Speak in Christ

Anchor Scripture: “ For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.” – 2 Corinthians 2: 17 Admonition Greetings from the Throne of Grace! About a month, or thereabout ago, I came across two videos on the social, in which a young woman with a twisted arm was being “healed” by two different “pastors”; of course, they shot the videos differently in their churches. Barely two weeks later, I read again that the police had arrested the woman for allowing herself to be used by fake pastors to deceive people in doing fake miracles. In a very sharp contrast, in Acts 5: 15 – 16, we saw how the “ordinary” shadow of Peter heal the sick. The question now is is it not the same Jesus Christ that Peter and other Apostles preached and did a lot of miracles that these your fake “pastors” are also preaching? So sorry to disappoint you; it is the same Jesus Christ but in different modes. In our anchor ...

Be Responsible

Anchor Scripture: "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise." - Psalms 51:17   Scripture References: Genesis 3: 1 - 24; 2 Samuel 12: 1 - 13; Psalm 51: 1 - 7; Revelation 19: 1 - 9 Admonition  Greetings from the Throne of Grace! One of the major reasons some Christians may not FINISH STRONG is because they resemble the first man,  Adam.  They lack oa sense of responsibility. What does that mean? Having a sense of responsibility implies readiness to accept your personal inadequacies or faults whenever they come to the fore and or are pointed out by other people. But instead of this, some people practice what, in management circles is referred to as "passing the bulk". That is the tendency to look for another person to blame for one's personal inadequacies. In organizations, people like that either get sacked or they don't go far. It seems everytime I study about David, I get to see yet a...

Be Fruitful 3

Anchor Scripture: "And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it." -  Mark 11:14 Scripture References: Mark 11: 12 - 14; Luke 13: 6 - 9; John 15: 1 - 6;  Introduction   Greetings from the Throne of Grace. Brethren, for me, and I strongly believe that for you too, it's been a thorough learning experience in the fruitfulness journey because it's been a total departure from what had been my understanding of what we have been made to believe fruitfulness in the Kingdom is.  Today, the Holy Spirit will be taking us through what the consequences of unfruitfulness is. That is, what may happen if a true child of God refuses to be fruitful, that is, win souls into the Kingdom. A major problem with being unfruitful for God is the danger of incurring curses. In our anchor Scripture today,  Jesus Christ cursed that fig tree because it did not produce any fruit for the Master to eat. That is the reas...

Be Fruitful 2

Anchor Scripture: “ Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away. . . .” – John 15: 2a Admonition Greetings from the Throne of Grace! Yesterday, my Senior Partner, the holy spirit of God, tutored us on what it truly means to be fruitful in the Kingdom of God; to disciple others into the kingdom, just as Jesus Christ disciple us therein.   Today, He will teach us how to do this effectively. Most often, we could open our mouth and tell people about the unflinching love of God towards man that prompted Him to allow Jesus Christ to be the propitiation for our sins. This becomes more probable because we are in conversation with people almost all the time. Another way we could become fruitful in the Kingdom is through our personal conduct. Philippians 1; 27 admonished us that under whatever condition, we should ensure that our conversation with people are in consonance with the Gospel of Christ. When we do this, then, we might draw people into the King...

Be Fruitful

Anchor Scripture: “. . . therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.” – Matthew 3: 10 Scripture References: Matthew 3: 1- 10; Luke 3: 7 - 9; Revelations 20: 11 - 15 Admonition Greetings from the Throne of Grace! I once worshipped with a prosperity preaching church where fruitfulness was conceived and preached by the big bishop as having all the trimmings of life. This is the kind of lies that most of us like. That is why such churches are always packed full because we want those things that will later be consumed by fire, but not the indestructible salvation of God which will purchase a mansion for us in the coming new Jerusalem. But we thank God for His Spirit of Truth that has come to dispel all the lies and heresies of these workers of iniquity who preach the other gospel. My forefathers were agrarian and so I know quite a lot about farming. And one the salient truth about farming is that farmers, either mechan...

Don’t Be Willingly Ignorant

Anchor Scripture: “ For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: .” – 2 Peter 3: 5 Scripture References: Joshua 1: 8 – 9; John 8: 31 – 38; 2 Peter 3: 1 – 13; Admonition Greetings from the Throne of Grace! Of the many scourges in the world today, the one I have found to be the deadliest is that of willful ignorance; I will explain. It is safer, or so I think, to be oblivion of the dangers attached to something and got involved in and with it than to be fully aware of these dangers, and yet, go ahead and get involved in and with them. The latter is very rampant today in Christianity in that most Christians know what the Word of God says, but they will willfully be doing the opposite that their false teachers and preachers are telling them, just because it suits their flesh. You are willfully ignorant when you know the right things to do, but you refused to...

Tell People About God 2

Anchor Scripture: “ For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” – Luke 19: 10 Scripture References: Isaiah 57: 14 – 21; Malachi 3: 1 – 5; Matthew 3: 1 – 6; Luke 3: 3 – 6; John 1: 19 - 34 Admonition Greetings from the Throne of Grace! There is no gainsaying that most Christians today either do not know the actual reason Jesus Christ came and died for the world, or they are confused about what the reason really was; no thanks to motivational speakers-turned pastors and prosperity preachers who led the legions for the proliferation of the body of Christ. Our anchor Scripture this morning points to the exact and singular reason Jesus Christ was made to suffer for the world. And this is the reason we need to talk to people about God. This morning, the Holy Spirit says He will like to highlight just THREE reasons we must speak to people about God. May our hearts be opened to receive the Word in Jesus' name, amen. First, during the earthl...

Tell People About God

Anchor Scripture: “ . . . joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth . . . .” – Luke 15: 7 Scripture References: 2 Kings 5: 1 – 18; Isaiah 52: 1 – 12, 61: 1 – 3; Luke 15: 1 – 7; Romans 10: 12 - 15 Admonition Greetings from the Throne of Grace! Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, while going finally, gave us all an assignment to go into the world and tell the people about Him (Matt. 28: 19 – 20). However, many people today just go to church to seek one miracle or the other without doing what the Master commanded. That is one of the reasons the miracles are not forthcoming because you refused to run God’s errand, but you want Him to give you the rewards meant for those who are obedient. That is one of the reasons your Pastor is prospering, he is telling the world about God (Matt. 28: 19 – 20), while you keep languishing in poverty because your mouth is perpetually shut against the Word of God. A little Israelite girl found herself a common maid (slave) in t...

Fear No Man

Anchor Scripture: " But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him." - Luke 12: 5 Scripture References: 1 Samuel 17: 32 - 51; Daniel 3: 8 - 30; Luke 12: 4 - 12; Acts 5: 17 - 42 Admonition   Greetings from the Throne of Grace! One of the things I marvel at about Apostle Paul, but which I seriously crave from today's leaders of our faith because they lack it is, his incessant admonition to his converts, the need to put man in their place as mere men and God in His lofty and high position, as God, our Maker. I happened to minister in a church a few years ago. In the course of the ministration, the Holy Spirit, NOT ME OF COURSE, among other things, touched on the issue of polygamy, that it is not for true children of God. After the ministration, the Resident Pastor of the church called me aside and told me that I shouldn't have spoken openly about polygamy like that. I ...

Prepare To Face Trials

Anchor Scripture: “ . . . whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.” – Mark 8: 35 Scripture References: Esther 4: 11 – 16; Jeremiah 26: 20 – 24; Matthew 5: 10 – 12; Mark 8: 34 – 38; 1 Pet. 4: 12 – 16; Admonition Greetings from the Throne of Grace! Strictly speaking, if God was going to juxtapose today’s practice of Christianity with those of martyrs, who risked all, looked the devil in the face and told him to go to hell because they were not going to botch their faith in Christ, I wouldn’t know how many of us professing to be born-again Christians today would make heaven. Some years ago, I read the gory story of a heavily bearded man whose three daughters and wife were all cut down with machete in His presence because his assailants wanted him to renounce his faith, which he faithfully declined. He looked at his assailants and told them his greatest treasure was Jesus Christ, not these (pointing at his murdered family...

Hold On To Your Faith 2

Anchor Scripture: “ But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink. . . .” – Matthew 14: 30 Scripture References: Mathew 7: 7 – 11, 14: 25 – 31; Hebrew 12: 2; Admonition Greetings from the Throne of Grace! Yesterday, the Holy Spirit took us on a brief tour of what faith really is. However, we were able to see a faithfully stubborn fellow saying even if he died, he will still continue to TRUST his killer (God). Brethren, that’s practical faith at work. Few days ago, I was privileged, by His grace, to minister in a fairly large church. In the course of the ministration, we touched this topic of faith and I was inspired to tell them the kind of faith, deaf and blind, that receives from God. What we discussed yesterday was the deaf faith that doesn’t hear what people are saying (side-talks), but only what the Master is saying. That was Job’s kind of faith. If you read the book of Job very well, you’ll see what I am talking about as there w...

Hold On To Your Faith

Anchor Scripture: “ Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him:” – Job 13: 15a Scripture References: Job 23: 8 – 12 Admonition Greetings from the Throne of Grace! Another word for faith is TRUST. So, this morning, God is calling us to trust Him whatever our situations might be. The natural man will instinctually try as hard as possible to avoid pains and discomforts. However, the book of Job 5: 7 speaks a truth that is a common heritage of all humans. It says, “ Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward.” And Job 14: 1 corroborates this truth, saying,  “ Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.” These are truth which no man has been able to disprove. Resting on these Scriptures, I do tell people during Bible classes that there is no man without his own trouble, no matter how little . And this is true irrespective of whom you are, what you have and or where you were born; we all have our own measures of troubles. The...

Honour God 2

Anchor Scripture: “ A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour?” – Malachi 1: 6a Scripture References: Genesis 19: 17 – 26; 1 Sam. 15: 1 – 3, 8 – 11; Prov. 1: 1 -8, 4: 1 – 13; John 14: 15 - 31 Admonition Greetings from the Throne of Grace! Yesterday, our Father spoke to us about the need to HONOUR HIM, which I believe strongly that many so-called children of God have either forgotten or like He said yesterday, are taking for granted, just because there are no immediate consequences for it from God. Today, to avoid anyone having a leeway in the teaching, God wants to teach us how to HONOUR HIM. The first and most important step towards honouring God is OBEDIENCE TO HIS WORD. Every other thing is attached to this. There are so many preachers in the world today and each come to us with different teachings, most of which are from the hottest depth of hell. For example, some have taught that kneeling down during pra...

Honour God

Anchor Scripture: “. . . them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteeme d.” – 1 Samuel 2: 30b Admonition Greetings from the Throne of Grace! One of the banes of our humanity is forgetfulness, stemming from our tendency to become so familiar with something such that we forget who or what they are and we begin to take them for granted. Many people have through this lost their lives, especially, with automobiles. Sometimes, people get so familiar with their fellow humans to the extent that it becomes difficult for them to draw the lines, no matter how thin. For example, some wives gets so familiar with their husbands, and more so because of certain leverages the husband gives, such that they tend to forget that he is still the man of the house. Their responses whenever their attentions are called to the things they are taking for granted will be like “it’s my husband now, he wouldn’t mind.” Brethren, as it is often said, we must “give h...

Do Not Love Pleasures 2

Anchor Scripture: “ The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good. ” – Proverbs 15: 3 Scripture References: 2 Samuel 12: 1 – 14; Ezekiel 36: 20 – 23; Admonition Greetings from the Throne of Grace! We bless God for making us understand how we run contrary to his purposes, most times unknown, when we “enjoy” ourselves. Many at times, we don’t often believe that those “little” things we do, sometimes in secret or even publicly, do infringe on what our God desires from us. The truth is that the time we use in these so-called enjoyment activities could actually be used to serve one Kingdom purpose or the other. And when we refused to so do, the devil seizes them and uses them for his purposes which constitute sin against God. Most times, we run into trouble with God when we don’t use our time for Him. In 1 Samuel 12, the Bible says, “ at the time when kings go forth to battle . . . But David tarried still at Jerusalem. ” David knew wher...

Do Not Love Pleasures

Anchor Scripture: “ But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth. ” – 1 Timothy 5: 6 Admonition Greetings from the Throne of Grace! The normal human nature has the natural tendency to avoid pains and all displeasures at all costs. It tends to hate anything that causes it to experience a change in its natural habitat and comfort zones. The tilt therefore, albeit at all times, is towards enjoyment and crave for all pleasures it could get, even when it can’t get it, it decides to live on others, like a mistletoe. Man is a tripartite; body (flesh), soul and spirit. The part that craves that comfort afore-spoken about is the body, the flesh. The Bible makes us understand that the part of us that sin is the flesh (Romans 7: 18 – 24). This flesh is always in opposition to the spirit, with which God communicates. We use our spirits to serve God (John 4: 24). It, therefore, follows that the spirit is not given to pleasures. In our anchor Scripture, the Holy Spiri...

Beware of Little Foxes

Anchor Scripture: “ Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: . . . .” – SOS 2: 15 Admonition A fox, by nature is an animal, of the dog family and very cunning. It walks about stealthily and often strikes and catches its prey unawares, most of the times. It is a very quick and clever animal, and often, deceives its prey to catch it. When they are young (little), they appear harmless, but in actual fact, could destroy whole farmland. The story of how Samson caught three hundred foxes and used them to destroy the Philistines’ farmland (Judges 15: 1 – 5) will tell us the havoc foxes, little as they are, could wreck if not quickly taken care of. Foxes are being used here metaphorically. In spiritual parlance, foxes mean “little, little sins”, of which one may not really be aware, or which one may want to or sometimes count as inconsequential, especially, when they don’t curry immediate punishment from God. Examples of these are lies, pilfering (little, little...

Abound in the Work 2

Anchor Scripture: “ No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. ”   2 Timothy 2: 4 Scripture References: Judges 13 – 16; Romans 8: 1 – 11; 2 Timothy 3: 1 – 9; Admonition Greetings to you, from the Throne of Grace, blessed children of God. My Senior Teacher, the Holy Spirit, said He would not love to leave us in limbo as regards yesterday’s topic, Abound in the Work, hence, this second part in which He desires to take us through a few things that do make one abandon the work instead of abounding in the work . Our anchor Scripture today warns of entangling ourselves with the “affairs of this life.” Brethren, those are the things that may ensure that one does not abound in the work. The book of 1 John 2: 16 mentioned what these “affairs of this life” are: “lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.” That verse of the Bible makes it very clear to us tha...
