Admonition
Greetings from the Throne of Grace!
The series
the Holy Spirit opened this week is to bring us closer to the Person of the
Master, Jesus Christ, without which FINISHING STRONG with and in God may never
be possible. I pray that the Holy Spirit of God, the great enabler, will enable
us to FINISH STRONG in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen.
We are being
admonished this morning to work by love.
If we could, we will remember that one of the topics we were admonished
with last month was Abound in the Work.
Essentially, the life of a believer is that of working for the expansion of The Kingdom of God. It is the saintly duty of a believer to ensure that the souls
around them do not perish.
The most effective
way to do the work committed into our hands is the way of LOVE. The Scriptures severally admonished us to go the way of love,
both amongst ourselves as believers, and also to those outside our faith; even
our so-called enemies.
Let me raise
another dust this morning, any gospel that preaches against enemy or
that prays that enemies should die is not the Gospel of Christ. Jesus
Christ never taught us so! Rather, he taught us to love and pray for, not curse,
our enemies (Matt. 5: 44; Luke 6: 28). Those men of God who are teaching you to
always curse your enemies and pray that your enemy dies will account to Jesus
Christ on the judgment day where they got that crap from. But essentially, let
it be mentioned here now that such teachings are very misleading. The truth is
tthat we can only win souls into the Kingdom if we work by love.
The master, Jesus
Christ Himself chose to die for when we were still His enemy by the works of
our hands (Rom. 5: 8; John 15: 13). The book of 1 John 4: 18 described God as LOVE. Ordinarily, what brought many of
us into the Christendom was the fact that God loved us.
As we round
off today, the Scripture establishes it that we cannot hate our fellow human
but say we love God. The gospel of Christ is love; He lived and died for it! If
then we are truly His disciple, we MUST work in love. All competitions and our
desire to outshine others amongst ourselves in the Christendom and our prayers
against those who we wrongly perceived to be behind our predicaments MUST stop
because we cannot make or enter heaven with strive, envy, malice, hatred and
the likes in our hearts.
Till we meet
tomorrow again on this beautiful journey of FINISHING STRONG together, please,
keep keeping on in Him!
