MAKING YOUR LIGHT SHINE: Be Disruptive

Anchor Scripture: Matthew 5:16
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

Focus Scripture: ". . . and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish."  Esther 4: 16

Admonition
Greetings from the Throne of Grace!

Yeah! You read me right, beloved brethren, if your light must shine and bring glory to God in this present dark world and with state of things in the church today, you just have to be disruptive.

Being disruptive in this sense is making attempts, through our own behaviours (Philippians 1: 27), to uproot heretic practices, in order to establish the true Gospel of Jesus Christ according to the Bible.

In the book of Esther, chapter 4, Queen Esther, despite hearing the news that her tribe, the Jews were going to be totally ruined and destroy from the kingdom, was going to put up the kind of behaviour that many of us, professing Christians, have today; the behaviour of not rocking the boat because that is the norm, the tenets and the doctrine of our church, even when we know things are not being done according to the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Esther 4: 11). But the message from Mordecai, her uncle, that if she kept quiet at that time, help will rise for the Jews, but Esther and her father's house would be destroyed  (Esther 4: 13 - 14) spurred her to action. So she came up with that distruptive method to change the king's heart.

In the church today brethren, there are men, even founders,  like Haman, who are amongst us to establish their own orders to massage their own carnal egos and subdue the true Gospel of Christ Jesus. We must not forget the Words of Jesus Christ that "the thief comes not but to steal, to kill and to destroy." (John 10: 10) . Now, let us imagine what would have happened to the entire Jewish community living in Susa at that time if such lights as Mordecai and Esther decided to respect the wrong established order of the land.

Jesus Christ, too, became disruptive to upset what was in order to establish what should be. The Sanhedrin saw nothing wrong in buying and selling inside the temple of God where God is being worshipped. But the Lord Jesus Christ saw everything wrong about it and went ahead to correct the anomaly straight off (Matthew 21:12). This same attitude is back in the church today. What are you, as a child of God, doing about it?  Are you not enjoying it and even being part of it?

Brethren, since Monday, the Holy Spirit of God has been schooling us on how to make our lights so shine that men will give glory to God. When, as a child of God, we see things considered abominable by the Holy Bible being done in the church but keep quiet, it does not matter whether we join them or not, we are definitely in support. In most churches where I had been, while I won't join them to do anything outside of the Gospel of Christ, I have never kept quiet about them, even including modes of worship, heretic messages and sometimes, prayer.

As it has been said since Monday, we are the lights of the world (Matthew 5: 14) and our major duty is to uproot the works of darkness wherever they are found, even in the church. If we are going to let the Will of God be done on earth as it is done in heaven as we normally read in "the Lord's Prayer" (Matthew 6: 10), then we, as the true children of God cannot afford but to be disruptive. The wrong order of things in the church, such as the principles of men and religious paraphernalia established with the wisdom of men, full of traditions and customs of men have to be uprooted from the body of Christ.

As we close this morning, in being disruptive, we cannot afford to do that carnally. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 10: 4 - 5 that "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;"  Therefore, we must be given to what Esther did;  fasting and prayer, not only that the wrong things be changed, but also that evil machinations be rendered powerless over us, just in case darkness decided to fight back, and they always do. So, if we must be disruptive as a child of God, do it prayerfully. The Lord will give us wisdom in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.

N. B.  Please, pray that God will strengthen you spiritually to contribute your quota in bringing His Kingdom to the earth making people do His Will.

WE MUST FINISH STRONG TOGETHER!

Till tomorrow when we shall meet again on this beautiful journey of FINISHING STRONG together, please, keep keeping on in Him!
