BECOMING STRONG IN THE LORD: Get the Armour of God

Image
Weekly Anchor Scripture:  " Matthew 11:12 "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force." Monday 21st September, 2020 Topic: Get The Armour of God  Focus Scripture:  "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."  -  Ephesians 6: 11   Admonition I bring you greetings from the Throne of Grace in Jesus' name. Amen.  One of most striking of Jesus' statements is the one found in Matthew 11: 12 being used this morning as our Weekly Anchor Scripture. We were reminded by the Holy Spirit, the penultimate week that  we shall enter heaven in much tribulations, NOT IN PLEASURES  as being peddled by some devil's agents calling themselves preachers today. To drive this point home into us, the Bible repeared again in 1 Timothy 5:6 that  "But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth."  I pray God will grant us understa

ENDURING TO THE END: WATCH AND PRAY

Weekly Anchor Scripture:  “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”   – Matthew 24: 13 Focus Scripture:  “ Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing but the flesh is weak " -   Matthew 26:41   Admonition I bring you greetings from the Throne of Grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Today's list of what we should do to endure to the end comes with two important things that our faith cannot do without if it must survive the devil's onslaughts in these last days, Watch and Pray. The Holy Spirit made it very clear to us in 1 Timothy 3: 1 - 7 that these last days would be (and already are) perilous. Mind you, the days wouldn't be perilous because people would die, but because many faith (of the people)  would be shipwrecked because they are not strong enough to withstand the devil's onslaughts. This is what will eventually lead to loss of their souls.  " the days wouldn't be perilous because pe

ENDURING TO THE END: REJOICE ALWAYS

Weekly Anchor Scripture: “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” – Matthew 24: 13 Focus Scripture: “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” – Philippians 4: 4   Admonition I bring you greetings from the Throne of Grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The only potent weapon the devil can boast of is lie. Jesus Christ calls him, “the father of lie” (John 8: 44). That is one thing that most Christians and even his own followers don’t know. Whatever he says or does is nothing but lies. That is why I always pity those who prosper through his methods because what they have are like mirages, like dreams of the night. So whether he brings you joy or sadness, whichever, it is all lies! Permit me to say that very early in my Christian journey, the Holy Spirit helped me to realize this truth about the devil. So, aside not desiring anything from him, I learned not to regard whatever he brings my way. Of course, as a firm believer and one hol

HOW TO BECOME A TRUE CHILD OF GOD:: AVOID DISCRIMINATION

Anchor Scripture:  2 Corinthians 6: 18 "And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." Focus Scripture:  " But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. "   -  James 2: 9 Admonition Greetings from the Throne of Grace. In Psalm 19: 13, David pleaded against one type of sin which is very common in our different denominations all over the places today; the sin of presumption. I know that many of us read that Psalm and especially now, that verse, without knowing what it means and we go away just like that. A deed is of presumption if done without proper authority or permission. It therefore becomes a sin, and according to the book of Numbers 15: 30 - 31, it wouldn't matter who the doer is, such a person is a transgressor, having contravened the law.  The Bible repeatedly says that "God is no respecter of persons." (Deut. 10: 17, Romans 2: 11, Acts 10

HOW TO BECOME A TRUE CHILD OF GOD: Beware of Unbelievers

Anchor Scripture:  2 Corinthians 6: 18 "And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." Focus Scripture:  " Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, . . . and I will receive you," -  2 Corinthians 6:17   Admonition Greetings from the Throne of Grace. God, our Father, had always been very critical about who and or the kind of people His children should and could be friends with. Right from the time He set out to deliver the Israelites from the bondage of Egypt, the most important warning He gave them was joining themselves with the inhabitants of the lands they were going to occupy. He warned them to the extent that they must not do intermarriage with them. Such was the importance God attached to His children's choice of company.  However, what became of Christianity after the exit of the foremost Apostles? Christians changed the laws of God under the guise that they want to

HOW TO BECOME A TRUE CHILD OF GOD: Submit To The Holy Spirit

Image
Anchor Scripture:  2 Corinthians 6: 18 "And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." Focus Scripture: " For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." -  Romans 8:14    Admonition Greetings from the Throne of Grace. Yesterday, the need for us to move from the general love of God to the very special love of His was emphasized because His general love is for everyone and it does not make us true children until we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour (John 1: 12). Genuine acceptance of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour do bring about the necessary experiences of having a broken spirit and a contrite heart. These twin experiences bring about genuine repentance which is necessary for the experience of true salvation. This is what many people who claim to be children of God in our churches today lack. That's why there is usually no changes in their lives even after they

HOW TO BECOME A TRUE CHILD OF GOD: Receive Christ Jesus

Anchor Scripture: 2 Corinthians 6: 18 "And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." Focus Scripture: "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" - John 1:12   Admonition  Greetings from the Throne of Grace! In the book of 2 Timothy 2: 20, the Bible speaks of how in a great house there are different kinds of vessels made of different materials and which are therefore fit for different uses; some by the Master, while some not. Like this great house is God Himself, Whom many people on earth call their Father. In actual fact, we may all claim God to be our Father, albeit in a general sense because He created us all, but the truth is that He knows those who are His TRUE children (John 10: 14, 27). "in a great house there are different kinds of vessels made of different materials and which are therefore fit for different uses&qu
